FS-LAB / 001 · SAT 22 AUG 2026 · MOSTAGANEM DZ
One day. One team. One robot. Learn programming fundamentals, code real mBots and take on engineering challenges — with English as the working language all day long.

01 / THE CONCEPT
Future Skills Lab is a one-day immersive workshop where you use English as the working language while learning programming fundamentals, coding real robots, solving challenges, working in teams and presenting your solutions.
✗ A traditional English course
✗ A traditional coding course
✓ Both — inside one practical, competitive experience
No previous coding or robotics experience is required. You only need curiosity, motivation, basic conversational English and the willingness to jump in. Practical, social and competitive — not academic.

02 / SPEC SHEET
03 / WHO'S THIS FOR
18+ · Participants under 18 require an official signed parental authorization document before participation.
Why join? Because in one day you'll do things most people only watch videos about: write your first real program, make a physical robot obey it, fail, debug, win a challenge — and explain it all in English in front of a room.

04 / SKILLS YOU'LL BUILD
TECH × ENGLISH × PEOPLE = FUTURE SKILLS
05 / WHAT YOU'LL EXPERIENCE
Every challenge in the lab runs through the same real engineering cycle.
ALGORITHM↓SEQUENCE↓CONDITION↓
LOOP↓INPUT↓PROCESS↓
OUTPUT↓TEST↓DEBUG↓IMPROVE
// REAL EXAMPLE, REAL ROBOT:
IF distance < 15cm
→ TURN RIGHT
ELSE
→ MOVE FORWARD
That single condition is the heart of the Obstacle Avoidance challenge. You'll write it, upload it, watch your robot obey it.
06 / EQUIPMENT CASE
SOFTWARE / mBLOCK 5
Robots are programmed with mBlock — Makeblock's Scratch-based coding platform used in 25,000+ schools worldwide. Drag-and-drop blocks to start, one click away from real Python and Arduino C when you're curious. Perfect for a first day of coding.
ONE DEDICATED ROBOT PER TEAM. No watching from the back row.
07 / THE CHALLENGES

LEVEL 01
Program your robot to read the track and stay on it. Sensor + conditions.

LEVEL 02
Detect. Think. Avoid. Proceed. Ultrasonic sensing meets logic.

LEVEL 03
Aim, control, strike. Precision driving under pressure.

LEVEL 04
Teamwork, strategy, victory. Robots on the pitch, English on the sideline.

LEVEL 05
Push. Defend. Be the last robot standing inside the arena.

FINAL BOSS
A surprise engineering mission combining everything you learned.
08 / FULL PROGRAM
Saturday 22 August · 09:30 → 17:00 · Exact timing may adjust slightly with team progress.
Registration + English Word Chain warm-up.
Random teams. Pick a team name and a slogan.
Scrambled technical words competition — ROBOT, SENSOR, LOOP, DEBUG…
Algorithms, sequences, conditions, loops, logic, debugging.
Teams build technical sentences and present them aloud.
mBot anatomy: motors, ultrasonic + line sensors, controller, battery, inputs & outputs.
Connect the robot. Make it move, stop, turn, light up, make sounds.
One teammate becomes the "robot" — guided only by English commands.
Program the robot to follow the track.
Lunch, coffee and refreshments — included in your pass.
Detect and avoid obstacles with the ultrasonic sensor.
Accuracy challenge: control the robot to strike the targets.
Robot control, strategy and team communication.
Robot vs robot. Push the opponent out of the arena.
Surprise engineering challenge: understand, design, code, test, debug, improve.
Each team presents in English: goal, solution, problems faced, debugging, improvements.
Winners, certificates, group photo, final networking.
09 / THE ENGLISH LAYER
English practice happens naturally the entire day — this is what it sounds like when a robot fails:
⚠ ROBOT STOPS MID-TRACK
P1 // "Why did it stop?"
P2 // "The sensor detected the obstacle."
TEAM // "Let's change the condition."
✓ CODE UPDATED — ROBOT MOVING
Round 1: general English. Round 2: technology vocabulary only.
Race to decode: ROBOT · CODE · SENSOR · MOTOR · BATTERY · LOGIC · LOOP · DEBUG · ARDUINO · ALGORITHM.
Rearrange words to build real technical sentences — then say them aloud.
Guide a blindfolded teammate using only English commands.
Present your team's solution in English in front of the lab.
10 / ACCREDITATION
Technical learning and English communication happen together, all day.

DAY PASS / MOSTAGANEM — SAT 22 AUG 2026
SERIAL Nº FS-LAB/2026-001—020 · ADMIT ONE
A symbolic participation fee — limited to 20 participants to keep the experience practical and hands-on.
14 / READ BEFORE YOU REGISTER

Bring your own laptop so you can follow the programming exercises and get the maximum hands-on experience. No laptop? Tell us in the form — shared stations may be arranged, but bringing one is strongly recommended.
The workshop runs in a 100% English environment with supportive mentoring. Basic to average conversational English is enough — perfection is not the point, practice is.
Registration is complete only after the 3000 DZD participation fee is arranged and confirmed. Seats are assigned in order of confirmed payments — register here.
The lab targets adults (18+). Participants under 18 require an official signed parental authorization document before participation.
15 / SCHOOLS & PARTNERS
This programme runs as a public workshop — and as a private session for schools, universities, training centres and companies.
Run the full day for your students on your own campus or at Maza Business Group. English practice, programming fundamentals and robotics in a single, measurable experience — with certificates for every participant.
A team-building day that produces real skills: technical English, problem solving, collaboration and presentation — measured through hands-on engineering challenges rather than slides.
Support access to hands-on STEM and English education in Mostaganem. Sponsorship covers participant places, equipment and materials — with visibility across the event, materials and certificates.
Want the programme for your group, or to support the next edition? Get in touch and we'll send you a tailored proposal.
17 / FAQ
No. The workshop starts from programming fundamentals — "never coded before" is exactly who this is built for.
No. You'll meet the robot, learn its anatomy and control it step by step.
Basic to average conversational English is recommended. The point is practice, not perfection.
Yes. English is the main working language, with supportive mentoring throughout the day.
You should bring one if possible because you will personally practice coding. If you don't have one, tell us in the form — access may be shared.
Robotics equipment, all activities, lunch, coffee, workshop materials and a Certificate of Participation.
3000 DZD — a symbolic all-inclusive participation fee.
Register on the registration page, then we contact you to arrange payment. Your place is confirmed once payment is arranged.
Refund / cancellation policy: to be confirmed by organizer.
Only 20 — the lab is intentionally small so every participant codes, builds and competes.
